Father Paret's Book in His Own Words - Father Joseph Paret, the pastor of the Little Red Church for 21 years; from (1847-1868), wrote Mon Journal d'Amerique, a collection of correspondence with his family back home in France. Translated from French to English by Daniel Castoriano, the correspondence includes vignettes from Father Paret's daily life, his thoughts about the people of his parish and connections to several notables events and families. This presentation provides a rare opportunity to hear remarkable stories about the 1800's written by someone who personally experienced the everyday life, joys and heartaches of the time.
