Kentrell Roberts

Baritone

Kentrell Eugene Roberts, Simon (and Ned cover) in Treemonisha, is a profound lyric baritone hailing from New Orleans, LA. He is a proud alumnus of the prestigious HBCU Dillard University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in music vocal performance.

 

While at Dillard, his love for classical and operatic music began to emerge. Mr. Roberts was a member of the University's male quartet and later became the assistant to the director of the concert choir. His first professional debut was with the 9th Ward Opera company in their production of George Gershwin's "Blue Monday."

 

In 2015 Kentrell was casted as Cleon in the New Orleans Opera Creole's production of Minette Fontaine. Currently Mr. Roberts is the director of the Abundant Life Church young adult praise team and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity INC.

 

He is also attending Loyola University studying for his master's degree in music. In 2018 he performed with the New Orleans Opera production of Champion by Terence Blanchard.
